The terraform plan command does not require confirmation. The confirmation is requested in terraform apply.
When you run terraform plan command, it display a speculative execution plan and then returns back to the command-line. When you then type yes and hit enter, the yes command will be executed from the command-line. This behaves as though you were typing "y" and hitting Enter, over and over. It will carry on doing so until you press Ctrl+C to interrupt it.
This is a frequent mistake that happens when you don't pay attention what Terraform command you execute.
