Namespaces are the way to partition a single Kubernetes cluster into multiple virtual clusters.
Examples when you namespaces are helpful:
- You can put each environment to a separate namespace.
- You can partition your customers, so that applications of each customer are in a separate namespace.
- You can put applications with different enterprise goals and security requirements to separate namespaces.
