Answer
The Alignment buttons in Property Inspector help you to aligh two or more shapes in the Artboard.
- Select multiple shapes by holding Shift and clicking them.
- Click the Alignment button
Alignment types:
- Align Top - will align selected shapes to top, so their top edges will be at the same horizontal level.
- Align Middle (Vertically) - will align selected shapes to vertical center, so their horizontal axis will be at the same level.
- Align Bottom - will align selected shapes to bottom, so their bottom edges will be at the same horizontal level.
- Distribute horizontally - This option is enabled only when you select three or more shapes. After clicking it, the shapes will be distributed horizontally so the vertical space between them is equal - in other words, the distance between the two adjacent shapes will be the same.
- Align Left - will align selected shapes to left, so their left edges will be at the same vertical level.
- Align Middle (Horizontally) - will align selected shapes to horizontal center, so their vertical axis will be at the same level.
- Align Right - will align selected shapes to right, so their right edges will be at the same vertical level.
- Distribute vertically - This option is enabled only when you select three or more shapes. After clicking it, the shapes will be distributed vertically so the horizontal space between them is equal - in other words, the distance between the two adjacent shapes will be the same.
