Machine learning is a subset of AI that involves the use of algorithms to enable machines to learn from data without being explicitly programmed to do so.
The key idea behind machine learning is that instead of being programmed with specific instructions, the machine is given a large dataset and a set of rules to follow, and then it figures out on its own how to apply those rules to new data.
Machine learning is used in a variety of applications, such as

- and predictive analytics.
There are three main types of machine learning:
