Use async/await to improve performance and responsiveness. Async/await is a feature in C# that allows for asynchronous programming. It allows developers to write code that can execute asynchronously without blocking the main thread. This is useful for tasks that take a long time to complete, such as network requests or database queries. By using async/await, the application can continue to respond to user input while the task is being executed in the background.

The async keyword is used to mark a method as asynchronous. This allows the method to return a Task or Task object, which represents the asynchronous operation. The await keyword is used to wait for the asynchronous operation to complete. This allows the method to continue executing other code while the asynchronous operation is running in the background. Once the operation is complete, the method can continue executing from where it left off.

Here is an example of using async/await to make a network request:

public async Task<string> GetResponseAsync(string url)
{
    using (var client = new HttpClient())
    {
        var response = await client.GetAsync(url);
        return await response.Content.ReadAsStringAsync();
    }
}

In this example, the GetResponseAsync method is marked as async and returns a Task object. The HttpClient.GetAsync method is called asynchronously using the await keyword. This allows the method to continue executing other code while the network request is being made. Once the request is complete, the response content is read asynchronously using the await keyword. This ensures that the method does not block the main thread while waiting for the network request to complete.
